Welcome to our family business (since 1780) in the middle of the Black Forest!

We are located in the middle of the Black Forest on a sunny pass (800 m above sea level)
between the village of Lauterbach and the small town of Hornberg.

Our house is surrounded by forests and meadows.
Magnificent scenery and fresh air, nature all around does the rest ...
Here you can easily combine nature, sports and health:
Countless opportunities for small walks and long hikes.
You will also find a vast terrain for Nordic Walking, Mountain biking,
Bike Crossing and other sporting activities.

Or just sit on the edge and enjoy the magnificent views ...
In the winter, we have two Cross-country skiing right by our house.
We also have a playground for children. 

The Fohrenbühl is an ideal starting point to the many attractions of the Black Forest:
whether Vogtsbauernhöfe, Triberg waterfalls, summer toboggan run, park with all the senses, climbing forest, car museum, the "Hornberger Schießen", ... everything is achieved soon,
and even on Lake Constance, in Alsace, Switzerland, in the Kaiserstuhl you are in about an hour's drive.

Our boss cooks himself with great passion: we recommend our fresh, seasonal and local delicacies:
the traditional Black Forest kitchen.
Depending on the season, we offer our special dishes, such as variations of fresh fish, asparagus, crisp salads, .... Almost everything is made from our kitchen still very traditional themselves.
Of course you shouldn't miss the traditional after-dinner-schnaps (Schnäpsle)!
Our region is famous for it's fine fruit liquors and we still follow the long tradition of distilling our own.
Or try our homemade cakes and pastries!

Our rooms are charmingly furnished and offer stylish ambiance for guests seeking a quiet and relaxing vacation.
Every room is equipped with shower, toilet, hairdryer, radio, telephone, TV and some rooms have a balcony.
And in the morning you can expect a rich and healthy breakfast buffet with everything you need for a good start to the day

Tax/Guestcard: 0,90 € / night / person
With your guestcard you can travel for free on buses and trains in the Black Forest,
and in many attractions you get a discount on the admission.
